Beautiful reproduction of Kennkarte for Polish citizens under German occupation. They were issued to all Polish from June 1941 till April 1943. 

 

Filled out / personalized version includes:

  • all necessary stamps (available for Warsaw and Cracow) and signatures
  • photo (send me one to krausepapierwerke@gmai.com) will be printed on photo paper and attached with eyelets
  • fingerprints
  • all entries filled out on period typewriter

  • number (normally 6 digits for cities like Warsaw and Cracow)
  • issue date: for historical accuracy choose June 1941- April 1943
  • first and last name
  • date and place of birth
  • learned and practiced profession
  • religion
  • address (street in Warsaw or Cracow)

 

Hints for realistic photo:

  • don's smile, keep your head straight and proud 
  • not necessary but recommended to look into the camera
  • most common were half-profiles (showing left cheek)
  • men: jackets or at least shirts and tie / bow-tie, 
  • women: no lose hair, shoulders covered
  • avoid casting shadow on the surface behind you
