History:

Golden Party Badge was awarded since October 1933 to the NSDAP members with party number below 100,000 (joined before 1930) with uninterrupted membership. Second group were few individuals who had shown outstanding service to the Nazi Party or State - to be decided by Adolf Hitler.

Only 20,487 men and 1,795 women were actually awarded the badge.
