Gertrud Scholtz-Klink became the leader of the National Socialist Women's League (NS-Frauenschaft) - the highest office of all German women at that time. And that in the break between 2nd and 3rd husband. In 1940 she married SS-Obergruppenführer August Heissmeyer and like a good German wife, stepped out of the public life.
